Our administrative team will discuss your concerns, answer any initial questions and arrange the most appropriate appointment.
If you already have scans, clinic letters or imaging, we may ask you to send these in advance so that your consultation can be planned as efficiently as possible.
Choosing the Right Clinic
Every patient is different.
Some conditions are best assessed by a single consultant with expertise in the relevant area. Others benefit from review by our multidisciplinary team.
Depending on your needs, we may recommend:
Consultant Clinic
Ideal for most patients requiring specialist assessment by an individual consultant.
Examples include:
- Hand and wrist conditions
- Peripheral nerve injuries
- Compression neuropathies
- Follow-up after previous surgery
Multidisciplinary Assessment
For more complex conditions, several specialists may see you during the same appointment.
This may include input from:
- Plastic and reconstructive surgeons
- Orthopaedic surgeons
- Physiotherapists
- Prosthetists
Multidisciplinary assessment is particularly valuable for patients with:
- Major limb amputation
- Persistent stump pain
- Phantom limb pain
- Complex limb reconstruction
- Osseointegration assessment
- Revision surgery
Our aim is to provide a comprehensive assessment and a coordinated treatment plan without the need for multiple separate appointments.
Your Consultation
Your consultation is never rushed.
We will take time to understand:
- Your symptoms
- Your medical history
- Previous treatments
- Your lifestyle, work and personal goals
- What you hope to achieve from treatment
A thorough clinical examination will be performed, and any previous investigations reviewed.
If further tests are required, we will explain why and arrange them promptly.
Throughout your consultation, we encourage questions and believe that patients should be fully involved in decisions about their care.
Your Personalised Treatment Plan
Following your assessment, we will discuss the treatment options available.
These may include:
- Physiotherapy or rehabilitation
- Splinting or orthotic management
- Image-guided injections
- Pain management strategies
- Prosthetic optimisation
- Further specialist investigations
- Surgery
Where more than one treatment option exists, we will explain the advantages, limitations and potential risks of each approach, allowing you to make an informed decision.
You will receive a written summary of your consultation together with a clear explanation of the recommended treatment plan.
Planning Your Procedure
If surgery or another procedure is recommended, our team will coordinate every aspect of your care.
This includes:
- Scheduling your procedure
- Pre-operative assessment
- Hospital admission arrangements
- Written information about your operation
- Recovery expectations
- Costs and funding arrangements
We will ensure you know exactly what to expect before the day of your procedure.
Your Procedure
Your procedure will be performed in one of our carefully selected partner hospitals by your consultant and an experienced multidisciplinary team.
Every aspect of your care is focused on delivering safe, evidence-based treatment using modern surgical techniques and enhanced recovery principles wherever appropriate.
Recovery and Rehabilitation
Recovery does not end when you leave hospital.
Depending on your condition, your rehabilitation may include:
- Follow-up consultations
- Wound care
- Physiotherapy
- Occupational therapy
- Prosthetic rehabilitation
- Scar management
- Sensory retraining
- Strengthening programmes
- Return to work and sporting advice
For patients undergoing complex reconstruction or amputation surgery, rehabilitation is often just as important as the operation itself.
Our multidisciplinary team works together to support your recovery and maximise long-term function.
Long-Term Follow-Up
Some conditions benefit from ongoing specialist review.
Where appropriate, we offer longer-term follow-up to monitor your recovery, optimise function and address any new concerns that arise over time.
Our goal is not simply to perform an operation, but to support you in achieving the best possible long-term outcome.

We believe exceptional care is about more than excellent surgery.
It is about:
